Hopping off a long flight there’s usually just one thing you want to do…fall into a warm bubble bath then doze in a dreamy king size bed.
Singapore’s Changi airport is consistently voted the best airport in the world but did you know that it’s also home to a luxury oasis-like hotel?
You’ll find the tropical, calm and classy Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel located a mere two minute walk from where you collect your luggage. That’s bag carousel to bubble bath in around ten minutes!
Recently named the World’s Best Airport Hotel, I jumped at the chance to spend the night to break up my flight from Paris back to Australia last week.
The warm, humid air of Singapore is like an immediate injection of summertime and once you see the hotel pool it’s like you’ve arrived in paradise.
A garden of giant palms is creatively scattered throughout the pool offering private corners where you can swim and soak up the lush surroundings and forget all about being cramped inside a plane seat.
Just a little tip, if you’re staying overnight at the Crowne Plaza Changi make sure you jump straight into the pool…one of the best post-travel feelings to revitalise yourself!
You then of course have to prepare that bubble bath I was talking about earlier. Each room has a giant bath tub where you can relax the travel aches away and even watch the television through the giant glass wall.
The rooms are spacious and luxuriously appointed with a giant king size bed that’s begging to be jumped on and then if you’re an aviation geek like me, you’ll love the view!
Floor to ceiling windows look over the Singapore airport and if you’re checked into a Club Room, you’ll be directly looking over the runway. You can lay on the bed and watch as the planes arrive from destinations around the world then take off into the warm hazy sunset sky.
There’s an on-site spa, fitness centre and Club Room guests can access the Club Lounge and take advantage of complimentary snacks, drinks and cocktails in the evening in air conditioned comfort just beside the pool deck.
Foodies have two restaurants to choose between, the popular buffet banquets at Azur (my personal favourite!) and the Imperial Treasure with traditional Cantonese cuisine. Take a peek at the photo below from the lunch dessert buffet at Azur…yum! Don’t even get me started on the breakfast where chefs are waiting to prepare magic every morning.
When you’re ready to check out you are just a two minute walk from the check-in desk so there’s no last minute rush!
If you’re passing through Singapore for a stopover or even plan to stay a few days, be sure to have a peek at the photos below to see where you could stay…the World’s Best Airport Hotel.

Thank you Travel Blog Success for helping me find your blog!
I’ve always been curious about airport hotels, so I was excited to read this post. It looks incredible!
Also, that photo you took of the bed from under the flowers, by far my favorite!
