Travel photography can lead to unexpected friendships and moments of cultural immersion, you’ll find most times it will be portrait photography that creates these opportunities. Photographing portraits of people in various cultural situations is a big part of travel photography. It can also be a daunting prospect to approach someone you don’t know and ask to take their photo…or do you zoom from a distance and get your creep on? I’ve put together some tips on taking portraits whilst travelling, especially in culturally sensitive destinations.
